This is one model that transcends both the Multiac and Signature series of Godin guitars. At first glance the Jazz has a familiar look with its single cutaway chambered body adorned with traditional F-holes and the Godin GJN1 humbucker at the top of the fingerboard. However the slotted headstock and the preamp controls on the upper bout may be the first clues towards discovering that this isn't your average jazz guitar. The standard Jazz comes with a triple-A-grade flame maple top. The Jazz Spruce features a solid spruce top.
Although capable of producing classic jazz guitar sounds courtesy of the Godin GJN1 humbucking pickup, the Jazz has the power to take you far beyond traditional jazz guitar sounds. Each saddle in the bridge is actually an independent transducer, which is supported by an on-board preamp and graphic EQ. Designed specifically for the Jazz, this system opens up a world of new sonic possibilities for all players. The crystalline sounds produced by this system can be used on their own, or very effectively in combination with the neck position pickup. A small dose of the bridge output can be combined with the mellow sound of the GJN1 to produce added note definition so often missing in traditional archtop guitar sounds. The Multiac Jazz also includes hexaphonic output from a 13-pin connector, which provides direct access to RolandTM GR-Series synthesizers, and the various V-Guitar products that RolandTM has developed around the same 13-pin interface.

Every year for two weeks in July, the city of Montreal is transformed into the worlds largest Jazz club. Montreal is a great city, and it becomes that much cooler during the Jazz Festival. Montreal’s love affair with jazz was the inspiration for Godin’s latest guitar, which is—fittingly—named, Montreal. The Montreal is the latest in a series of two-voiced guitars from Godin that marry the electric sound from traditional magnetic pickups with the acoustic sound from saddle transducers in the bridge. The two-chamber body of the Montreal is carved from a solid block of Mahogany and capped with a carved solid mahogany top adorned with two F-holes and cream binding. The 22-fret, 24 ¾ scale, neck is also fashioned from mahogany, and shaped for exceptional comfort by means of Godin’s ergocut technique. Hardware is black and gold including, two Godin humbuckers, a bridge loaded with L.R.Baggs transducer saddles, and an on-board preamp EQ. The two humbucking pickups produce an extensive range of sounds thanks to a special 5-way switch that provides five distinct tones on its own. Add in the bridge transducers and the palette of sounds becomes infinite. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. Jazz and Blues players will love the way this guitar sounds and feels. The city of Montreal should also be pleased, as this guitar is as cool as its namesake.

The LGX-SA is a three-voice guitar featuring electric and acoustic guitar sounds, plus the infinite possibilities provided by synth access. The output from the bridge transducer system in the LGX-SA produces six separate signals—one for each string. This divided signal is called hexaphonic and is used to drive guitar synths. The LGX adapted itself to this application quite easily. However, in addition to the electronic modifications, the guitar itself was altered in order to achieve the best possible performance. The most visible difference between the standard LGX and the LGX-SA is in the ebony fingerboard. The use of the ebony fingerboard improves synth tracking. Guitar synth systems in the past were technically complicated and required radical changes in playing technique. The LGX-SA/RolandTM GR-synth combination represents a new standard in user friendliness and performance. This is truly a 'plug in and play' system.

A jack-of-all-trades, and master of all of them, the xtSA’s incredible sound power begins with three distinct voices: electric guitar, acoustic guitar and synth controller.
The xtSA delivers big time electric sounds via the Godin humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration and thanks to a special 5-way switch setup extra meaty humbucker tones co-exist with glassy split-coil sounds in the second and forth position. Turn down the electric output and raise the volume on the RMC transducer saddles and the xtSA becomes an incredibly authentic-sounding ‘acoustic’ guitar. The acoustic voice of the xtSA is enhanced by an onboard preamp with a three-way graphic EQ. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. The Freeway Classic is the first double cutaway design by Godin in several years. In spite of the tremendous success of the single cutaway design featured throughout the Godin line, there has always been a contingent of hard-core, double-cutaway enthusiasts encouraging us to do something for them. With that in mind we went to work on the Freeway Classic. The basic formula is classic Godin, versatile, blues/rock gigging machine with ‘boutique guitar’ build-quality at a blue-collar price.
Godin’s rock maple necks are known throughout the guitar industry for outstanding feel and boundless sustain. The 25 ½” scale neck on the Freeway features Godin’s ergo-cut shape and medium jumbo frets. Neck stability is insured by a double-action truss system capable of adding and removing relief in the neck. The body consists of a center block of silver-leaf maple with light poplar wings. Silver-leaf maple is an excellent tone wood with a weight and density similar to mahogany. The warm tone of the silver-leaf provides a perfect compliment to the rock maple neck. To ensure that we get the most from this potent combination, each neck and body are joined with a perfect wood-to-wood connection—free of paint or glue—that delivers maximum neck/body energy transfer. The sound of the silver-leaf maple comes at a price—it’s heavy! To balance the guitar and achieve a comfortable weight the silver leaf core is flanked with light poplar wings. This ultimately produces a comfortably light guitar with ‘heavy guitar’ resonance.
The Godin humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration makes the most of excellent acoustic response of the Freeway. A double 5-way switch along with volume and tone controls supports the pickups.

Model : Redline 3 Custom Original Art Series
The Redline Custom Original Art series are a very special line-up of models which include four custom original instruments that are hand-painted variations of the Redline 3 guitar. Artistically designed by Montreal Artist Giulio Pampena, the four models/original finishes are the Redline 3 Celtic-Tatt HG, Redline 3 Roadkill HG, Redline 3 Cherry-Bomb HG and the Redline 3 Carnage SG. The humbuckers are housed in a sustain inducing, string through, silver leaf maple body with poplar wings.
